We’re proud to share that, in collaboration with Baku State University and the Izmir Institute of Technology, we’ve completed a study on the anadromous Persian sturgeon.

The project focused on identifying the genetic characteristics of the Persian sturgeon, which is born in the estuary of the Kura River. Genetic samples collected by our specialists were analyzed in Turkey, providing valuable insights into the biodiversity of this species in Azerbaijani waters.

This research marks a significant step towards better understanding and protecting the unique sturgeon population in the Caspian Sea.
